A Prayer
Darkness, darkness, soften my
mind,
Come to me and take my hand.
Darkness, darkness kiss my soul,
Your essence I need to feel.
Darkness, darkness, wake me from this dream,
Hide this pain, this constant ache.
Darkness, darkness, wake my spirit,
Walk with me through the trees.
Darkness, darkness, warm my flesh now,
Take away the chill of death.
Darkness, darkness, fill the emptiness within me,
Cover up my desolation.
Darkness, darkness take my hand,
Hold my soul before it flies.
Darkness, darkness, the wolves are coming,
Hold my hand throughout the night.
Darkness, darkness, hold me tight.
Dreams
These dreams are winding
through my head,
Through my mind in dreams waking,
With twisted visions, I'll be waiting.
This pain is winding through my soul,
Through my heart, winding through my mind.
I dream in pain, and I'll await you.
These dreams; visions are winding,
They are more real than life in waiting,
I wake and dreams are winding through my mind.
Mesh and lace, and pain and death are winding
Through my heart, and I am waiting.
For your kiss. For your heart.
Desolation waiting, I awake to you.
Untitled
His mother slams her fist,
Across his dirty cheek.
Upset again, by
The voices in her head.
Refusing to cry he concentrates
On the nice man he saw today.
Candy and a caring hand,
He hopes the man will come again.
Maybe, he dares, the man has a bed,
And the car can be left behind.
His mother screams, and
Slams the door in leaving.
Tonight, they're parked near a big store.
He likes the lights, he's not so scared
to be left alone all night.
His mother says he should be a man,
He wonders if he's old enough to have a job.
He could buy a bed, and enough food to last all day.
Counting his fingers, he decides to try.
After all, he just turned four. |
